I curate this approach very carefully where I know a connection is valuable to BOTH my client and the person doing the hiring. As a former headhunter of 15+ years I have to be very upfront that there is “NO FEE” with my referral.

The NEXT step is the BIG ONE on my client’s shoulders. They now have to present their “value proposition” in a short concise way over the phone or via email. This 20-30 second statement is designed to grab the attention of a Hiring Manager and share their strongest skills and how this can impact the company positively.
From that conversation the next logical flow is forwarding a resume and getting a request for a formal interview. By making direct connections with hiring authorities you are bypassing an ATS system that may keep your resume from being viewed. There in fact may not be a job posted but you are reaching "persons of influence" that will make future HIRING DECISIONS and that's the GOAL ✅.
