Terrific presentation by Zach Brandon of Madison Chamber at yesterday’s TEMPO women's professional lunch.

In the months after the election, it’s been a sea of negative news. I have tried to offset that by focusing on what I CAN DO to help others. I'm sharing my volunteer experiences to nudge others to get involved. Volunteering was not part of my family heritage. Nonetheless, I feel passionate about it and I have engaged my family to volunteer too. As an example, for 4 yrs running, we served hundreds of brats at Bratfest in Madison to raise money for my daughter's choir years ago. It also helps build strong community by giving back to a great city.
You definitely “get more than you give” when you volunteer! I love to volunteer around my interests: mentoring, techie stuff, dogs and gardening. Below are some of the groups that I’m involved with that match my passions.
