I think UW Oshkosh may have trouble recruiting for these positions. Here's why.
- "Possible" part-time and full-time jobs. Does anyone feel confident about a possible job? I realize they may not know the number of employees retiring or leaving but this list is VERY LONG, a troubling sign.
- When the list of jobs is so long I can't even capture it on my phone camera, is it a sign of high turnover?
Are the State of WI education cuts starting to generate massive departures?
- This was a very expensive ad to run and it isn't creating a warm and fuzzy feeling that would make candidates want to apply. No mention of benefits or culture, just "a list of job titles". Huge expense with very little ROI.
They may need some help recruiting for these roles. I understand that academic recruiting is quite different from the private sector where I spend my time. But I do believe they need some lessons in the art of crafting effective job descriptions that attract quality talent. I'm available for that duty and would be happy to help them!
